The lotus flower represents purity while rooted in the mud with the petals raised above muddy murky water. The lotus flower is what Vividbound represents as a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization.
According to the Oxford dictionary, vivid means to produce a powerful feeling or strength, and/or clear images within the mind. Bound means to walk or run with leaping strides, leaping movements upward. Each partner and client of Vividbound represents being vivid bound.
Founded in 2019, Vividbound became established based on the knowledge that domestic violence and sexual assault survivors encounter numerous obstacles that remain unspoken and unseen by many when survivors are in the process of evading an abusive situation. Ultimately, our organization was launched with a “for us by us mindset”. This mindset formed the foundation for Vividbound with the understanding that a survivor that previously endured abuse and is currently thriving can best help other survivors flourish.
Vividbound is committed to providing services to women and their children who have suffered from domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Vividbound offers confidential assistance with creating a safety and violence prevention plan, advocacy services, counseling, and additional resources as needed within a safe and non-judgmental environment.
Vividbound is also dedicated to educating the community, transforming lives while showing compassion, and ending the cycle of abuse. So if you have questions, are afraid, or afraid for a friend, please reach out.
Our mission is to empower, educate, and support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault while educating the community about victims of abuse. Most importantly, Vividbound's values are to advocate for victims/survivors of crime, provide confidentiality, and offer resources all within a safe and non-judgmental environment. Our mission results in transitioning our clients from surviving to thriving. Additionally, our mission utilizes a don't lose hope approach which involves the community’s support. Vividbound's mission requires a village.
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." – Helen Keller
Our vision is to have a world free from domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
“You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.”
― Maya Angelou, And Still I Rise
Vividbound is staffed with an amazing multidisciplinary team that encompasses life coaches, social workers, registered nurses, and physical security. The staff is comprised of individuals who have experienced and survived abuse. Having survived these atrocities the staff is able to fully engage and provide an empathetic approach that is beneficial to those reaching out to receive Vividbound services.
Additionally, the staff are able to share their insights and experiences as well as how they are thriving now that they are away from their previous situations.
We understand difficult and scary situations. We also know that abuse is not your fault. Our primary concern is your safety. Whether you are in an abusive situation or you are afraid for your friend, we are here to help.

Vividbound has made a difference in the community and the lives of those we serve. We are committed to creating lasting change. Helping our clients transition from surviving to thriving! "In 2001, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) launched their first SAAM campaign to better educate the public about their role in sexual assault prevention. Eight years later, President Barack Obama officially declared April as SAAM. And to all of you who are survivors of sexual violence, we believe you, and we stand with you"
