This special event aligns beautifully with Vividbound’s mission of supporting survivors and raising awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault—especially during Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).
As you stroll the charming streets of Benson, enjoy local art, visit small businesses, and gain insight into the realities of abuse and healing. We'll be there sharing resources, offering support, and connecting with the community.

Did you know that 70 to 80% of college sexual assaults involve alcohol. Also, 20 to 25% of women experience sexual assault in college while less than 6% of men reported experience sexual assault in college.
Men/males also experience sexual abuse too. Did you know that 58.7% of black males reported sexual contact before the age of 12 with someone 5 or more years older, according to the Journal of Child Sexual Abuse (2017) author Levine, E.C. and more. Also, did you know black males and other marginalized groups are more likely to report experiencing sexual harassment than other men.
Did you know that compared to Caucasian women, African American women are less likely to involve the police in cases of child sexual abuse, according to Barlow, J. N.

In honor of SAAM, Vividbound awarded the Vividbound Courageous Award Recipients with the beauty bags.

Janice Jackson Hubert is the CEO and Master Stylist of Royal Essence Salon/Boutique. Professional haircare services, lunch, and venue were donated by Royal Essence Salon/Boutique. In honor of SAAM, Vividbound awarded the Vividbound Courage Award Recipients an invite to attend beauty day.

Vividbound is honored to announce the continued partnership with Quality Staffing! This phenomenal team provided the needs for the Self-Care Healing from within Beauty Bags that were gifted to the Vividbound Courageous Award Recipients.
In honor of SAAM, Vividbound awarded several women who are homeless or were recently displaced due to domestic violence/sexual assault to receive the Vividbound Courageous Award. The Vividbound Courageous Award entailed an invited to attend the Vividbound Courageous Award Community Outreach Event. The community outreach event provided the awarded recipients with a beauty day at a salon which included facials, professional haircare services, lunch, snack/treat bag, skin care bag, and a Self-Care Healing from within Beauty Bag.
Most importantly, the Vividbound Courageous Award Recipients were beyond grateful to receive all the much-needed items provided within the Self-Care Healing from within Beauty Bags that were provided by the Quality Staffing team.
Moreover, Vividbound in partnership with Quality Staffing has great things planned in support of survivors of abuse as well as community outreach events planned for this year. Essentially, Vividbound would not have been able to continue to provide resources to the clients of Vividbound without the support of Quality Staffing. Vividbound is excited to announce a new partnership with the Ladies Birthday Club Celebration along with the Royal Essence Salon/Boutique! This fabulous team of women provided the food, venue, professional haircare services, and volunteer services needed for the Vividbound Courageous Award Community Outreach Event held in honor of SAAM.
In honor of SAAM, Vividbound awarded several women who are homeless or recently displaced due to domestic violence/sexual assault to receive the Vividbound Courageous Award. The Vividbound Courageous Award Recipients were awarded by with an invitation to attend the Vividbound Courageous Award Community Outreach Event.
The community outreach event entailed a beauty day at the Royal Essence Beauty Salon. The Royal Essence Beauty Salon shut down their services to the public for the day to cater to the Vividbound Courageous Award Recipients. In addition, the Vividbound Courageous Award Recipients received facials and were provided food. Moreover, each recipient was given a Self-Care Healing from within Beauty Bag filled with self-care goodies, Skin Care Bag filled with skin care items, and Snack Bag filled with a variety of snacks.
Essentially, the community outreach event was a huge success thanks to the Ladies Birthday Club Celebration along with the Royal Essence Salon/Boutique.
