Vividbound's Support Services

Children who witnessed domestic violence are at increased risk of psychological and emotional problems, cognitive functioning problems, and long-term development problems. For all the above reasons, Vividbound had to move into action and attend Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Training for Emotional Problem Solving for Adolescents (DBT STEPS-A). Vividbound is now officially able to provide DBT training services.

Vividbound's DBT training services is a program that is composed of free group sessions, phone coaching, skills training, and/or a consultation team of counselors along with therapists. DBT is known to help one develop concrete skills that one can use to cope when life feels overwhelming.  

Our goal is to provide children/teens with the appropriate skills to help them cope with all types of challenges. Vividbound's training sessions are being offered for free to our clients that have children and the community which is geared specifically towards teens/adolescents, parents, guardians, teachers, child care providers, adolescent sport coaches, youth leaders, caregivers, community leaders, etc.

Vividbound's Internship Program: Compassion in Action

Join our team and make a difference! Our non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault on their journey towards thriving and empowerment. We offer internship opportunities for passionate individuals who want to contribute to this important work. Internship Roles with Vividbound entail: Counseling and Advocacy, Community Outreach, Case Management, and Program Development. 

Requirements to become an intern at Vividbound, the potential intern must be enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., social work, psychology, counseling). The potential intern must have a passion for social justice and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Furthermore, the intern must have strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills. Also, the intern must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitivity to trauma survivors.

What happens to a survivor after leaving an abusive relationship? What happens if a survivor of an abusive relationship wants to leave an abusive relationship? The survivor of abuse needs additional supports. The Transforming from Surviving to Thriving Program implement comprehensive services to ensure that the survivor reaches thriving status. 

Vividbound's Transforming from Surviving to Thriving services empower women who have endured domestic violence and/or sexual assault to rebuild their lives. Through a trauma-informed care, counseling, and skill-building program, we support survivors in their journey from merely surviving to achieving personal growth, independence, and a renewed sense of self-worth. Our holistic approach addresses emotional, physical, and psychological needs, fostering resilience and long-term restoration. This program allows the survivor to create personal goals and the Vividbound team helps support the individual in reaching the set short-term and long-term goals. For example, a survivor that is unemployed that would like to set a short-term goal of gaining employment will be supported in this program by the Vividbound team in gaining employment opportunities within a set timeframe. 

Each goal met by the survivor is celebrate by the Vividbound team along with the community partners with different rewards such as a beauty treatment session with a Mary Kay Consultant, Gift Cards, Beauty Bag, ect.
